What a great weekend!!!

What a great weekend we have had! Saturday was a great day! We decided to get out of the house and enjoy the sunshine. After so many days of rain, the sun was a welcome sight! So we loaded up the kids on Saturday morning and drove to Plano for the Plano Balloon Festival. We missed the hot air balloon launching, but had fun playing games and eating junk food! :)

We returned home and put Katie down for a nap (she was very ready for one after the festival!) Then left again Saturday afternoon to visit our friends Crystal and Chad in Celeste. We watched the Texas vs Texas Tech game there that evening. I wore my Texas Tech shirt to aggravate GD and Kason :) and also to cheer for my little bro's alma mater. Even though Tech got beat, it was a good game and we had a great time with Crystal and Chad. They spoiled Katie Blair while we were there by painting her toe nails. Crystal painted the blue with white stripes. Both Katie and Kason love her "new" toenails!
On Sunday we went to Sunday School and church. Katie wore this sweet dress that Blair sent her from Hong Kong. She looked so sweet! She was so proud to ride in Kason's booster seat on the way home from church.

We, as a family and and as family of Christ are praying for Claire Grace and her family. Claire is a precious 11 year old girl in our community, who was diagnosed with a brain tumer about 3 years ago. She is not doing well right now, but is definately a fighter and a very brave girl. Please keep her in your prayers. Here is a website you can go to to read more about her battle and her sweet and sassy spirit! :) http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/clairemccolloch. Here is a picture of Claire with Kason and Katie last Halloween. What a precious girl she is!! Please join us in praying for Claire and her family.

  1. Wish I could have been there to help you cheer on Tech - sounds like the household is in need some Red Raider fans! By the way - Katie looks absolutely adorable in that dress! I am shocked that that is the actual dress I sent her.. :) Also, that picture of Kason & KB holding hands is priceless!
