Hello Friends and Family! Can you believe it is October? There was a wonderful chill in the air this morning when I left to go to work. Love it! Every year, October brings with it thoughts of fall, pumpkins and of course, Halloween. This year is no exception. So with this in mind, I asked Kason this week what he wants to be for Halloween. He said, “I want to be an umpire”. I was surprised! I asked him if he knew what an umpire is. He looked at me like I was crazy and said, “Yes, Mom. It’s a guy with fangs and a long black cape.” LOL!!! I told him I think he means a VAMPIRE, not an UMPIRE! Unfortunately, being the mean mom that I am, I have a standing rule that my kids cannot be a monster or evil creature for Halloween. So instead, he is going with his second choice, a Pirate. (That’s not evil right???) I have already ordered the costume so he can’t change his mind now. He said he wants an eye patch and sword and a parrot on his shoulder. We’ll see about all that. But as it stands now, Kason will be a pirate. Katie has lots of dress up clothes that she can use as a costume. And if it is cold, I have a Lion costume that Kason wore when he was Katie’s age. So we are looking forward to a fun Halloween. We also plan on making our annual visit to the Big Orange Pumpkin Farm in Celina. We always have lots of fun there and expect this year to be no different. Stay tuned for pictures, as the pumpkin farm always lends itself to great photo opportunities!
Tonight Kason and GD are going to the American Airlines Center in Dallas for the Mavericks Fan Jam. I’m not sure exactly what that is, but it sounds like lots of fun! And its free! (Which is always good!) I am sending GD with the camera, so hopefully I will post some pics from their Guys Night Out later this weekend.
Happy Friday! :)
