March 25, 2010 was a special day. I took off work so that I could eat lunch with Kason at school and take cupcakes to his class. He had been asking me to eat lunch with him for quite some time. We started out the day by going for donuts before school. What a sugary fun way to start the day! :)
Kason and I had gone to Brookshire's the night before and he picked out the cupcakes he wanted for this class. So I went to pick the cupcakes up. Don't they look yummy? He is lucky they made it to the classroom! :)
So at 11:30 I went up to the school for lunch. As soon as Kason sat down, he was called up to the stage with another boy. They were both born on March 25th. The whole cafeteria sang Happy Birthday. Of course, Kason LOVED being on stage and having everyone's attention on him.
He picked 2 friends to sit next to him at the special tables in the cafeteria that are reserved for when parents came to visit. He picked B.T. and Joel, 2 boys from his class. Doesn't he look so proud? Look at those great smiles!

The next day Gary Don, Katie and I took Kason to The Magic Time Machine restaurant in Addison. It is a fun restaurant where the waitors and waitresses dress up like fairy tale or movie characters. Our waitor was Indiana Jones. He and Gilligan sang Happy Birthday to Kason. We also saw Alice from Alice in Wonderland, Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Carribean, and others. The kids loved it!
Kason got a special birthday dessert and loved the birthday serenade. Look at that smile!
Happy Happy Birthday, Kason! Mommy and Daddy love you so much and are so proud of you!
