Dress Up

Don't you just love hand-me-downs??? I do! I love getting trash bags full of broken-in kids clothes! I am fortunate enough to have friends with kids who are a little bit bigger than mine. They are just older enough so that we benefit from their growing spurts! :) My friends Susanne and Stephanie both have girls (sweet Adelie and Payton) who are a couple of years older than Katie Blair. They are kind enough to pass on some of their girls' clothes to Katie Blair. Recently, I received such a trash bag from Susanne. This trash bag was packed full of girls' clothes. And at the very top of the bag was Katie new favorite thing - Dress Up clothes!!! I had forgotten how much girls love to play dress-up!! As soon as Katie saw those clothes, the joy spread across her face!! She tried on one outfit after another, barely keeping each on for 2 minutes before she was ready to switch to the next! Each time she puts a new one on, she tells me she is a "beautiful princess". Oh, and who can forget those plastic high heels my favorite cousin Jamie gave her for Christmas?!?!? She wears those things with everything, not just dress up clothes! My personal favorite is when she pairs them with her pajamas and tops it all of with plastic necklaces and bracelets. :) The click-clack of the plastic heels on our laminate floors is a daily occurance at our house. And of course we wouldn't have it any other way!! Here are some pictures of our little "Quick Change artist"!
