Normally I don't bring Katie to our girls' lunches, but Gary Don wasn't able to keep her on Saturday due to Kason's football practice. So I brought her along. She was so excited to be going to a "big girl" lunch! Here is a picture with her, Nana and the birthday girl herself!

Oma's 85th Birthday lunch
To celebrate Oma's 85th birthday, the girls in my family (minus my favorite cousin, Jamie who was out of town. We missed you, Jame!) met at Sauce on the square in McKinney. Sauce is a fairly new Italian restaurant. It was a perfect spot for our lunch! The food was delish, the drinks were yummo, the service was great and the atmosphere was fun! It is a challenge to find a venue for lunch for ages ranging from 3 to 85, but Poosie did a great job!! Thanks Poos!

I love how she smiled in all of these pictures! She is such a little ham! I was worried that she would be too much of a distraction for our lunch, and she was somewhat. But she was pretty well-behaved. And besides getting antsy towards the end, I thought she did very well. Here is a picture of her and her Nana. I don't have enough pics of mom with the grandkids and am going to work on that!
Before our food came out, we ordered drinks. What is a girls' lunch without drinks!?!?! :) Everyone except for me had peach bellinis. They raved about them! I am not a peach fan so I ordered a strawberry mojito. It was yummy! Her eis a pic of Poos and Oma enjoying their bellinis.
Katie went with me before the lunch to pick out a birthday card for Oma. I couldn't find one that I liked. Katie begged and begged me to get Oma a Barbie birthday card. She said she would like it the best. :) I finally relented after fruitlessly searching for an appropriate "grandmother" card. Katie was so anxious to give Oma her card. She kept asking. When we could no longer stand her asking, we let her give Oma her card. One problem... Katie wanted Oma to give the card back. She thought it was her card. :) We finally managed to distract her and Oma got to keep her Barbie birthday card. :) Katie loved helping Oma open her gifts.
