I don’t have too much time to write today, but just HAD to blog about what Kason said this morning. He and I were on our way to work/daycare. Which, by the way, has been a great bonding time for us this summer. We say our prayers and put on God’s Armor together every morning. I am really going to miss that time once he starts back to school. This morning, after our prayer and Armor, we were talking about school starting and how 1st grade will be different then Kindergarten. (Kason tells me his 1st grade class will be down a different hallway then the Kindergarten classes. And he really hopes he gets Mrs. White but that he will be good for whoever he gets! :) So then he says, “Mom, how old will I be when I get done with school?” So I tell him that he will be about 18 when he graduates high school and probably about 22 or 23 when he graduates college. Then he says “And then it will be time to get married.” I quickly tell him that God will provide the right girl at the right time, maybe right after college, or maybe a little while after college. (Please God, not before!!! J He thinks about this for a moment then says, “Well, she will have to like ice cream.” I agree that yes, any girl who is worth anything will have to like ice cream. :)
Can’t end this blog without mentioning Katie Blair as well. Kason has been getting a lot of blog time lately. Katie Blair is still doing what she does best – running around non-stop and acting like she owns the place! :) We have several nicknames for her. One of which is “Bossy”. This one fits her well! She loves to boss everyone around, especially Kason. She will say “Bubba, get my blankey”. And of course he does. It is the cutest thing. (Right now, at least!) Another nickname is “Miss Thing”. Which also fits her well. She certainly thinks the world revolves around her. (What!? It doesn’t?!?) She is so glad to be back at Mrs. Tracy’s this week and is having lots of fun playing with Connor, Courtney and her new friend, Ansley. She is still fighting a cold and her nose is running like crazy. Her cough has gotten a little better. Hopefully, she will be at 100% soon! Thank you Jesus, for basically healthy kids!!
